It was the year 2020. As the populace of Earth demanded more and more delicious foods, the countries of the world had grown in their struggle to outdo one another in the race for culinary supremacy. In order to prevent a culinary World War III, the countries of the world came to an agreement.
Each country would have a single culinary school, which would be the food-based superpower of that nation. Each year, every country of the world would wage delicious warfare with each other in the Culinary Martial Arts World Championship. The winning country would earn the title of Culinary Empire, expanding their influence in the food world exponentially until the next year.
Their weapons? The art of Food-Fu!
In short, Food-Fu is the art of utilizing food, utensils, and food-based technology with martial arts. It takes years of both culinary and hand-to-hand training to become a master of Food-Fu. It takes even more to become a fighter for your home country's culinary school. And it takes the most skill of all to bring home the title to your country.
Who will be the next champion?
